L2 Heliumventil
The helium valve is a safety valve. When decompressing after a dive, helium can dosed out of the case of a diver's watch. Without a helium valve, decompression from greater depths could knock off the watch glass due to overpressure from the watch. L2 Caseback
A watch like a lion, a sea lion. What animal is closely associated with people and is known for its skilful ability to dive to great depths? The sea lion. The backside of the L2 is adorned with this magnificent creature, whose manoeuvrability, elegance and function attuned to life underwater stand for a diving watch blending all of these traits. Given that the lion is the symbol of Zurich, the city that has shaped the evolution of this watch, it seems only appropriate that the sea lion should be the symbol of the Maurice de Mauriac L2. We use a very individual bronze alloy sourced in Zurich. Bronze is anti-magnetic, resistant to wear, elastic, slightly more brittle, and 10% heavier than stainless steel. Above all, it stands out due to its resistance to seawater. Beneath a layer of oxidized copper, the material offers lasting protection. The discoloration of the bronze is particularly appealing and means that every watch, over time, evolves into a unique piece—one solely influenced by the life of the watch owner. A really good dial has a perfect readability even in very bad and even completely missing light. For diving watches, this can be vital underwater. When it comes to water, it's extremely luxurious to always see the time no matter when and how you need it. The designer Fabian Schwaerzler not only relied on the best Superluminova readability. He rigorously reduced the dial for readability. In this reduction lies the whole power of the L2. And if many dials fail, the L2 is still reliably legible. 1

TIME TO MOVE 📦 After 26 years at our beloved Atelier on Tödistrasse 48, the time has come for a new chapter.
We are incredibly excited about this big step and can’t wait to welcome you into our new home at Rämistrasse 5.
We found the perfect place. Beautifully enough, it sits just opposite our father’s favourite restaurant @kronenhalle (We like to think of it as his sign from heaven)

Incredible! The Russell Story continues…
After visiting us during the @zurichfilmfestival Russell invited us to personally deliver his Rallymaster IV to his farm in Nana Glen. So after launching it in Melbourne during AO 2026 we went to see him on his farm and stayed full three days. We had just an amazing TIME.
This is a real dream coming true and an once in a life time experience! But most important it shows that also Hollywoodstars are only human beings who love community & family ❤️
