A family business that nurtures a brand made up of the emotions of thousands of stories absolutely needs a place where all those emotions come together. Our atelier is that place.

The family is at home here, as are all the stories we have been collecting since the very first day of Maurice de Mauriac. The extended family of Maurice de Mauriac’s friends and customers gathers here — both in person and online.

But the atelier is also the home of every single watch we produce. This is where they are born!

Since, as a brand, we don’t just seek out or tell particular stories ourselves, but rather the stories find us, the atelier is merely the stage on which all sorts of stories unfold. And so the backdrop is constantly changing. Colors, materials, motifs, and mementos have their grand premieres and then live on as small keepsakes and memories within the atelier.

Massimo, Leonard, and especially Masha continually ensure that the atelier culture founded by Daniel carries on, yet remains so open and curious that Maurice de Mauriac belongs to those moving at a very pleasant pace within the often unbearably slow watch industry. This is part of the heritage — both familial and in terms of the brand — but also owed to the youthfulness that the next generation brings with it.

What remains is the long table, the “table university,” as Daniel Dreifuss called it, where the whole world brings inspiration and takes it away again in the form of watches. In the background, the watchmakers, whose number essentially reflects the growth of the atelier.

The atelier, the open heart of the brand, is even recommended worldwide by Tripadvisor as an absolute shopping tip in Zurich — and this is because you never know what exciting thing is currently happening on the atelier’s stage, while the Watchbros Massimo and Leonard, or the Watchsis Masha, describe it all to every customer in rich detail, with familial closeness and love.
