Our display back case uses a blue anti-reflective sapphire crystal and thus allows for an unobstructed view of the pulsating caliber. One has the feeling that the soul of the mechanical automatic movement can both be felt and seen. The watch is alive. Together with the possibility of the custom labelled rotor, each watch becomes a truly personal gift – even to oneself.Bronze
We use a very individual bronze alloy sourced in Zurich. Bronze is anti-magnetic, resistant to wear, is elastic, slightly more brittle and 10% heavier than stainless steel. Above all, it stands out due to its resistance to seawater. Beneath a layer of oxidised copper, the material offers lasting protection. The discolouration of the bronze is particularly appealing and means that every watch, over time, evolves into a unique piece—one solely influenced by the life of the watch owner. While bronze can stain, these stains are usually removed in the normal laundry process. ETA 7750 Movement
After the takeover by ETA, the Valjoux 7750 was re-named the caliber ETA 7750. This is quite possibly the most successful automatic chronograph movement of all time. The caliber stands out due to its high degree of accuracy and robustness. It has 25 stones, a ball-bearing mounted rotor, and a uni-directional winding mechanism. The 7750 has a 1/8-second counter, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, 28,800 half oscillations per minute and a power reserve of ca. 44 hours. The loss of accuracy is 1-6 seconds per day. It’s not just any race - it’s the Mille Miglia, the legendary road race that transformed Italy into a stage for heroes from 1927 to 1957. The Mille Miglia was always more than just a race. It was an epic battle against nature, time and the limits of human ability.
For hours on end, the drivers drove 1,000 miles through the picturesque but challenging Italian countryside - from Brescia to Rome and back. The route led through fog, gravel roads and city junctions where only courage, skill and madness made the difference. Legends were born along the way: Nuvolari, who overtook Brivio in the dark with skill and courage, barely visible to the cameras. Or the British racing driver Moss, who averaged 157 km/h - with paper maps wrapped in a roll around his arm.
