Our display back case uses a blue anti-reflective sapphire crystal and thus allows for an unobstructed view of the pulsating caliber. One has the feeling that the soul of the mechanical automatic movement can both be felt and seen. The watch is alive. Together with the possibility of the custom labelled rotor, each watch becomes a truly personal gift – even to oneself. ETA 7750 Movement
After the takeover by ETA, the Valjoux 7750 was re-named the caliber ETA 7750. This is quite possibly the most successful automatic chronograph movement of all time. The caliber stands out due to its high degree of accuracy and robustness. It has 25 stones, a ball-bearing mounted rotor, and a uni-directional winding mechanism. The 7750 has a 1/8-second counter, a 30-minute counter, a 12-hour counter, 28,800 half oscillations per minute and a power reserve of ca. 44 hours. The loss of accuracy is 1-6 seconds per day. Bronze
We use a very individual bronze alloy sourced in Zurich. Bronze is anti-magnetic, resistant to wear, elastic, slightly more brittle, and 10% heavier than stainless steel. Above all, it stands out due to its resistance to seawater. Beneath a layer of oxidized copper, the material offers lasting protection. The discoloration of the bronze is particularly appealing and means that every watch, over time, evolves into a unique piece—one solely influenced by the life of the watch owner. While bronze can stain, these stains are usually removed in the normal laundry process.1

Official collaboration with the ZZZ ⛄️💥
The Central Committee of the Zurich Guilds (ZZZ) is the operational body of the Association of Zurich Guilds, its umbrella organisation. It was officially founded in 1871 as the ‘Sechseläuten-Central-Comitée’ and renamed the ‘Zentralkomitee der Zünfte Zürichs’ in 1909. The ZZZ Board is headed by the ZZZ President and, together with countless volunteers, forms the organising committee of Sechseläuten. The link between the ZZZ and the guilds is ensured by the Assembly of Delegates. It consists of one delegate each from the Constaffel Society and the guilds. The Assembly of Delegates is responsible, among other things, for drawing lots for the order of the guilds in the Zug zu Feuer.

It was the talk of the dinosaurs of the watch industry in Zurich. Daniel Dreifuss as a guest at the Beyertalk in our Atelier. Competitors who treated each other with the utmost respect and told their stories not against each other, but for each other. It was a pleasure to listen to them. It still is today. And it has just become a precious memory. René Beyer passed away recently, following Daniel Dreifuss, our father, who died around two years ago. We know the grief that such a loss triggers and sympathize with all those who will miss René Beyer. The love for the watch will outlast death. We wish them both good conversations wherever they meet now.
