WARM & WONDERFUL X MAURICE DE MAURIAC “BLACK SHEEP”
The ‘Black Sheep’ design has now made its way into watch culture through a luminous collaboration between Zurich-based watch brand Maurice de Mauriac and Warm & Wonderful to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the original knitwear company revitalised by Rowing Blazers.
Limited to 45 pieces, the ‘Black Sheep’ edition fits most wrists with its 39mm case, traditionally used in the brand’s Classic collection and tennis-inspired Rallymaster series. It is powered by a Swiss Landeron automatic movement and comes with not one, but two two-piece stretch textile straps specially developed for Maurice de Mauriac – one black and one white, both with a red centre line, which can be worn according to the wearer’s mood or style.

The PVD-Case back
The case back is made of solid, polished stainless steel with a PVD coating and engraved sheep logo.The watch is equipped with not just one, but two two-piece textile flex straps specially developed for Maurice de Mauriac - a black and a white one, both with a red centre line, which can be worn as the mood takes you or as the occasion demands.
Black screw-down crown
The case is 12 mm high. The black crown is easy to grip and can be turned precisely so that the watch can be set with great ease. The water resistance is 10 ATM. This means that the watches can be worn when washing hands, in the rain, when washing up and showering, when washing the car, when skiing, trekking and, of course, diving. The Watchbox
The set contains a specially made black sheep and a specially made, two-piece stretchable textile flex strap, with a quick-change system for changing the straps quickly and independently.The watch box also includes a ‘Black Sheep’ patch that can be knit anywhere to underline the symbolic distinctive identity and the significance of being the odd one out.
The darker the lighter
Super-LumiNova is a phosphorescent phosphor and is free from radioactive additives. Super LumiNova is a hundred times brighter than other inactive luminescent pigments. When the luminous pigments are stimulated by daylight or artificial light, they release the light energy they have absorbed over several hours in the dark. This makes the watch extremely easy to read, even in the dark. The darker the brighter In an era of globalization, individuality is more and more valued.

She stood outside the royal norm and was particularly loved for it. That suits us, as Maurice de Mauriac is always a little outside the mainstream and is loved for it. When the question arose as to whether we wanted to make such a ‘Diana watch’, we immediately embraced the idea. 1

What a day & night to remember…Russ and his management paid us a visit during @zurichfilmfestival - but not just that, he bought a couple of watches: As a big tennis fan & player he bought the (nearly sold out) Rallymaster III #71 & since he got his „Lifetime Achievement Award“ he bought the Legacy. If that wasn’t enough he invited us for dinner, after he got his award, he presented one of his closest friend a Lazio collored watch, which happens to be the same colors as Zurich 🤍💙.
We are truly grateful for calling Russ now a family member - such a great & humble & funny person. This we will never forget…Thank you again @russellcrowe for this unique day.
PS: Never stop dreaming 💭🌙 (slide 5) , we invited Russ for a watch workshop in our atelier but he never replied. Yesterday he came out of nowhere to our shop. Sometimes the universe has a plan which you just don‘t know yet…

A few weeks ago, Leonard was in Turkey and took the opportunity to deliver another two watches to the Les Clefs D’Or community - the Union Internationale des Concierges d’Hotel.
Metin Can Yildiz and Mehmet Onur Yigit, concierges at the Peninsula Istanbul, an impressive 5-star hotel directly on the Bosphorus, now wear the watch we especially developed for and together with Les Clefs D’Or.
They were able to choose a watch strap on site and opted for Peninsula Green.
It’s just wonderful to get direct feedback, to experience joy and pride - to be close. It gives us a lot of energy!
