We see red with Photo Basel
Every year we could write that photography is becoming more important because images are becoming increasingly important. A relatively large number of people understand the craft of photography, but at some point it is no longer the technique but the creativity of the photographer that makes the serious difference. The very personal touch they are able to give each photo. This is the part of photography that fascinates us and that we always try to utilise for our photos. Because of this importance, we have developed the Maurice de Mauriac Photo Award together with Photo Basel. This year it will be awarded for the second time. We are purchasing the photo from the winner of the award in order to honour his work and expand our still young photo collection.
From 11 to 16 June 2024, photo basel will take place alongside art basel. In addition to many great photos by national and international artists, the photos on the shortlist selected for the Maurice De Mauriac Photo Award by a jury with our participation will also be on display. Our worldwide community will help decide who will win our award.
Why are we involved as a watch brand at photo basel?
For our L3 - especially the L3 sees red! A watch that has become a watch for creative people since its launch. The watch was designed by Swiss designer Fabian Schwaerzler. It quotes the tradition of Bauhaus aesthetics and surprises with its red watch glass. This icon of the creative class is worn by artists, creatives and individualists all over the world. So we come to where the creative class meets.
For us, watches are a craft that we combine with other forms of artistic expression, absorbing and passing on influences. We are always on the lookout for the essence of tradition in order to artistically recharge, elevate and reinterpret it. The nerve of Photo Basel, our brand and L3 sees red is best felt when experienced live together. We will be happy to send interested parties a free VIP ticket.
Like last year, you will recognise us by our bucket hats and the world's smallest watch boutique, the APE, which we will be taking to Photo Basel again.
