During extreme diving situations, helium atoms make their way into the watch. As such, the process of decompression could dislodge the watch crystal. The helium release valve prevents this from occurring by allowing the excess pressure to escape via the valve and due to this, it is possible to dive below 300 meters. L2 Caseback

We use a very individual bronze alloy sourced in Zurich. Bronze is anti-magnetic, resistant to wear, elastic, slightly more brittle, and 10% heavier than stainless steel. Above all, it stands out due to its resistance to seawater. Beneath a layer of oxidized copper, the material offers lasting protection. The discoloration of the bronze is particularly appealing and means that every watch, over time, evolves into a unique piece—one solely influenced by the life of the watch owner. Super-LumiNova is a brand name under which strontium aluminate–based non-radioactive and non-toxic photoluminescent or afterglow pigments for illuminating markings on watch dials, hands and bezels, etc. in the dark are marketed. This technology offers up to ten times higher brightness than previous zinc sulfide-based materials. When the luminescent pigments were stimulated by daylight or artificial light, they give off the light energy in the dark for several hours. Fabian Schwaerzler, Swiss designer and as such purist, has chosen the line as a design element and thus designed the L-series, the line series, from the Bauhaus era into the present. A little story on Sunday: It all started with a parcel that wasn’t delivered...A Portuguese customer’s new watches were not delivered by the parcel service. The parcel began an odyssey and at some point we decided that one of us would take it to Cascais personally.
Of course, you then call Portuguese friends to meet up. Miguel Seabra is one such long-time friend. Miguel, a watch enthusiast, immediately calls a few more watch lovers and we sit together on the beach in Cascais and talk watches and philosophize.
At moments like this, our family expands to include people who share a special love.
…And the conclusion of the story: something good can also come out of something bad.
