Of course, we will credit you the amount if you buy a watch from us at a later date. (The individual prices cannot be combined). As a course participant, you will also receive a Maurice De Mauriac surprise gift and free admission to the Beyer Watch Museum.

In Detail
A family member will tell you about the history of the watchmaking industry and that of our Maurice de Mauriac watch manufactory. You will then be placed in the skilled hands of our watchmakers, who will first explain what makes a mechanical watch and why it ticks. Then it's "hands on" - with watchmaker's clothing and a magnifying glass, you'll go straight to the open UNITAS watch movement. This is 10 times larger than a conventional movement. The watchmaker disassembles the pocket watch movement and explains each part to you. But you have to be careful, because afterwards you have to put it back together again.
Families, friends and teams take the opportunity to enjoy a shared experience that not only brings the mechanical watch to life, but is also useful as a team-building exercise, as you reassemble a complete movement together and it ticks at the end.
Perpetual Watchworkshop
Every first Thursday of the month you can book a watchmaking workshop with us where you do the watchmaking course with other people. However, the course only takes place if at least 4 people have registered. The course includes our usual programme. See watchmaking course I. Please note that this course takes place at our 2nd location in the MDM Garage: Geroldsstrasse 5, 8005 Zurich.

Watchmaking course II builds on the knowledge gained in watchmaking course I. In the continuation course, you will assemble your own Maurice De Mauriac watch in around two hours under the guidance of professionals. You can choose from various versions of the Icon L1 design. The watchmakers will engrave a personalised engraving on the rotor, for example your initials, making the watch an unmistakably unique piece, especially with this experience. The course costs as much as the L1 you choose plus 150.00 per hour.
If you would like to assemble a different watch, this is also possible after consultation with us

Large families, groups of friends or teams take the opportunity to enjoy a shared experience that not only brings the mechanical watch to life, but also changes your relationship with time for life. For groups of 7 people or more, we will be happy to receive your enquiry and work with you to decide how we can realise your event.
