We were already at the Dakar with MDM. The Lada has already achieved legendary status today. And for us, this was already motorsport heaven. But there is still a heaven above heaven – Le Mans.
01
We will be competing in 2025 with Finn Gehrsitz. At Le Mans! This fulfils a dream of our father, the founder of MDM – but also a dream of the family, which is closely connected to the magic of the sound of this race. Everyone has stood behind the crash barriers and fences, fascinated, devoting all their senses to the engines – because one is not enough.
The starting signal came by telephone.
Our contact with Finn began very casually, by our standards. His father called us to ask if we would be interested... to make a long story short, we were and still are interested. Since then, we have been going round and round in circles in our minds.

This watch not only leaves other timepieces behind – it even overtakes smartphones on the home stretch. The Chrono Modern Les Mans is not just an accessory, it is a statement in pole position.
Finn will start with start number 78.
And it is precisely this number that our Chrono Modern Lemans bears on the occasion of this very special event for us. Finn wears this watch, an MDM classic, with pride and the knowledge that its creator loved to drive his Lexus through Zurich. With Lexus, Finn was the first German pole-setter in the GT3 class at Spa-Francorchamps. A great success. Now he is attacking Le Mans. A special feature of Finn is that he is coached by Ellen Lohr, the only woman ever to win a race in the DTM.
Racing spirit in stainless steel
Of course, racing drivers don't wear watches during races. Nevertheless, this watch is so solidly constructed that it can confidently be called a racing driver's watch. As such, it has already been to salt lakes, the North Cape, the desert, asphalt and soon it will also be in the heaven of motor racing – Le Mans.

The dial of the Chrono Modern Le Mans is the extremely sporty 051015 dial developed by our father Daniel.
"Competing at Le Mans with Fin Gehrsitz is more than an honour for us at Maurice de Mauriac – it is an expression of what we stand for. Anyone who enters our Zurich studio immediately recognises that motorsport is not just a trend for us, but part of our brand DNA."
