Mr Fabian Schwaerzler is the man to thank for Maurice de Mauriac‘s ‘L1’ watch – he says it’s one of the designs he’s most proud of, and we can see why. This reference has a stainless steel case with a black Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coating that’s abrasion- and scratch-resistant – it’s also anti-allergenic because it’s applied by vacuum. The 10 bar water resistance means it can be worn while washing your hands, showering and even swimming.

The cases for automatic watches are 11 mm tall and have a crown. The crown offers good grip and precise turning, thereby making adjustments to the watch very easy. The watch is water resistant to 10 ATM. Our display back case uses a blue anti-reflective sapphire crystal and thus allow for an unobstructed view of the pulsating calibre. Fabian Schwaerzler, Swiss designer and as such purist, has chosen the line as a design element and thus designed the L-series, the line series, from the Bauhaus era into the present. They have become icons of watch design. His design allows the watches to be discreetly present, but also to fill the space. Follow the line. It will show you the beauty of time.

To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the original knitwear company @warmandwonderful revitalised by Rowing Blazers.
Limited to 45 pieces, the ‘Black Sheep’ edition fits most wrists with its 39mm case, traditionally used in the brand’s Classic collection and tennis-inspired Rallymaster series. It is powered by a Swiss Landeron automatic movement and comes with not one, but two two-piece stretch textile straps specially developed for Maurice de Mauriac – one black and one white, both with a red centre line, which can be worn according to the wearer’s mood or style.
